I honestly believe the golden days of this fandom is now, with all this content and Validation™ & a new giant fan base. Back then was the dark ages, so I can never agree when someone calls it the golden days lol it took some balls to openly say you liked the ship well into even 2017.

I feel like I must've missed something. I came out of the cinema December 2015 shipping Reylo & was immediately bringing it into the RP community. I've never had any hate for my ship - what am I doing wrong???

Idk where you were but you were in the good place, meanwhile the first thing I noticed was that the topmost kudo’d fic in the reylo tag on ao3 was an anti fic(this was already like that in January 2016), alot of anti reylo shit was around that I didn’t dare to post anything reylo on public access up till February 2016 where then I started using it as a dumping ground.

Generally I was afraid to even post in the main tags other than reylo because it would attract antis (it did, even posting only in the reylo tag, attracted antis) like as a whole it was shit and back then alot of chats and groups that opened up were super wary of antis and made sure they don’t join to stir up shit.

In general you had to be super wary of anything anywhere, being anti reylo was like the new hit big thing, and I knew people who never even posted reylo on their mains/public. All for good reason considering that if you did draw reylo you would have been considered a traitor of some sort.

Generally though the attitude that since you liked reylo your opinion is insignificant still remained but at least now reylo is mainstream and the fandom is ridiculously huge now.
